First 2014 World Cup Ad Starting off Strong

With the FiFA World Cup quickly approaching, sports equipment and apparel companies are preparing with new ads and endorsements. The first to do so is Nike. Nike released its first successful World Cup ad without even mentioning the words “World Cup.” Resembling its 2010 World Cup ad, “Winner Stays,” Nike has outdone itself once again.

Set in an urban sports field, a group of kids are preparing to play a game of pick up in order to decide who gets the field. Like most kids, their dream is to be the next soccer superstar and Nike brought it to life. In seconds, the kids are transformed into their favorite soccer players Neymar Jr., Wayne Rooney, Andres Iniesta and Christiano Ronaldo. Nike was able to capture the feeling of becoming a child again and emulating your favorite athlete.

Who will win the 2014 FIFA World Cup? You and your favorite soccer/football player can do it together, this summer starting June 12th in Brazil.
